Service: Interior Design

Shelby Life Enrichment Center

Workplace Architecture + Design (Workplace) worked with the management of the Life Enrichment Center (Owner), a private non-profit organization in Shelby, NC, to develop a statement of Facility Program requirements for the planning of a new Adult Day Care and Health Services Center. The programming effort included multiple days spent on site with the amazing team of staff, learning how they do “whatever it takes” to serve their daily participants. Shelby LEC became the first LEED certified Adult Day Health Center in the US.

ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference) Headquarters

The ACC was out of space in their current office building and needed a strategy where they could renovate in place to allow for the growth they had experienced, along with providing an agile and more open environment for the team members. The project consisted of a renovation in place of the first floor of their headquarters along with an expansive brand immersion throughout the space. A conscious effort was put forth in the selection of interior finishes – those being a nice clean and a neutral palette to provide the backdrop of the branded ACC team graphics on display throughout the space.

Included in the first-floor revocation, was the boardroom that not only provided a championship hosted meeting room, but doubled as an employee lounge- an informal collaborative team huddle space that the building did not previously provide.  New furniture was deployed to support the wellness and agility of the employees. A project highlight is definitely the PolyVision electric glass on the meeting room down the main corridor, providing privacy for the occupants with just the flip of a switch.

Carpigiani North American Headquarters

Workplace Architecture + Design proposed a two-phase design process that was built around the completion of Phase One – Condensed Programming and Construction Documents of Office and Warehouse Office space. This led to Phase Two being project management and construction administration. The two-phased design process helped capture and define Carpigiani’s vision, culture, and goals for the project.

Qorvo Building A

With a view to the Qorvo’s new Building M, Workplace Architecture + Design helped Qorvo modernize it’s Building A (corporate HQ) and emphasize Qorvo branding standards within the workplace. The Lobby and 2nd story atrium were re-envisioned into a sleek welcoming experience for Qorvo’s guests and employees. An open Work Café now provides shared, collaborative space, along with amenity space where the former executive conference room was located. The building’s cafeteria received a major update to allow a variety of seating types and areas for lunch meetings. Finishes were upgraded throughout the building to align with Qorvo’s new brand standards.

Qorvo – IDP HQ

After helping Qorvo develop it’s national workplace guidelines, Workplace Architecture + Design served as architect-of-record and design lead in deploying the new standards to Qorvo’s IDP Headquarters, outside Dallas, Texas. Our team worked with Qorvo’s local Texas team to capture site-specific work flows and develop a detailed programmatic statement, with a resulting goal to enhance collaboration within the workplace. The design strategically deployed project rooms, meeting rooms, and focus rooms within the open office environment to provide a mixed palette of place for 250+ employees. Centralized Work Cafés on the second and third floors, along with a branded Coffee House on the first floor tied together employee amenities with a flexible work environment. The project’s design opened up the floors to allow for maximum natural light, integrated key health and wellness design concepts, and utilized furniture-based solutions where appropriate to provide a lasting, innovative workplace.
